Emergencies - planning and responding

Our role in an emergency

Broxbourne Council will always have a role in responding to major events in the Borough. However, the combined response is usually led by the emergency services. Please use the details provided to report an incident in progress.

Broxbourne Council is a category 1 organisation as part of the Hertfordshire Local Resilience Forum (LRF). Category 1 organisations are at the core of the response to most emergencies.

The Forum includes all the emergency services, local councils, health services and volunteers and is focused on reducing these risks. This involves more than 60 organisations who plan and train together to provide the quickest and most effective response to incidents and emergencies.
