What the Council can do
The Council takes all reports seriously and will investigate every case.
Once the report has been reviewed the Council may seek further information by:
- conducting a site visit
- contacting any witnesses
- reviewing CCTV
The Council has a responsibility to its taxpayers to ensure all claims made are legitimate and any suspected fraud will be investigated.
The Council reserves the right to share information with other local authorities, insurance companies and organisations in accordance with its privacy policy.
