About the Mayor
The Mayor is the ceremonial civic head of the Council, elected each year at the Annual Meeting of the Council at the start of the new municipal year. The Mayor’s full title is The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Broxbourne.

For 2023/24:
- the Mayor is Councillor Paul Seeby
- the Mayor's consort is Mrs Phyllis Seeby
- the Deputy Mayor is Councillor Sherrie McDaid
Councillor Seeby was born in 1968 in Waltham New Town, which has since been redeveloped to become Holbrook. He has lived in Cheshunt ever since.
He has held many roles within the Council as well as fulfulfilling roles in local organisations both as a Council nominee and in a private capacity.
