Social and affordable housing in Broxbourne

Broxbourne Council do not own or manage any social housing, all social housing properties in the Borough are owned and manged by Registered Providers. The Council has nomination rights to properties and will nominate applicants from the Housing Register when they are available.

The demand for social housing is very high and the number of new applicants each year exceeds the number of homes that become available. Some applicants may never be housed via the Housing Register.

Anyone can make an application to join the Housing Register, once your application is received the Council will assess your circumstances against the Allocation Policy and then review any documents you provide. You will then be informed if your application has been accepted and you will receive account information to log in to the Homeoption system. If you do not have any housing need in line with the Policy your application will not be accepted.
