Landlords and letting agents considering eviction can benefit from the Council’s Call Before You Serve advice and support service.
Call Before You Serve is a new and free support initiative offered to landlords in the Borough who may be struggling with tenancy issues.
Landlords who experience rent arrears, have a tenant who is failing to comply with the terms of the tenancy agreement, or is unable to resolve any other tenancy issue can now benefit from this new service.
Call Before You Serve has been developed to assist landlords who are considering serving notice to their tenants with valuable preliminary advice and mediation options.
The Council recognises the significance and positive impact of early intervention and has introduced this service to help tackle and reduce evictions. This service will help make a big difference for landlords and their agents providing key support and assistance required to prevent a Section 21 or Section 8 notice being issued.
