The Big Helpout
Monday 8 May is a Bank Holiday, and people across the nation are encouraged to volunteer in their local area, aiming to bring communities together, raise the profile of volunteering and create a lasting volunteering legacy. This initiative is called The Big Help Out and will include opportunities from local charities and community groups, as well as larger organisations including the National Trust, Age UK, British Heart Foundation, the Scouts and the Trussell Trust.
