Coronation Big Lunch Grant Funding

Communities across the country are encouraged to get together at Coronation Big Lunches on Sunday 7 May 2023, in a nationwide act of celebration and friendship. To assist with this, the Council will offer small grants of up to £500 to residents/community groups to put on street parties to celebrate.

To be eligible for funding, events/activities...
• must be related to the Coronation
• must take place within the Borough of Broxbourne
• must be match-funded – this means that the Council will match any other sources of funding up to £500
• must be run by a group, not an individual or business. A group of residents can make an application together

The funding can be used for decoration, equipment hire, or entertainment, but not for refreshments.

You can apply for the street party grant by downloading a copy of the application form and returning it to community@broxbourne.gov.uk 

If you plan to close your road, you need to apply to Hertfordshire County Council before 26 March. Apply at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/streetparties

Environmental Sustainability Grants

Honouring King Charles’ passion for the environment, the Council is offering small grants to local community groups for environmental projects within the Borough of Broxbourne.

The budget for these grants is £3,000 and which is expected to fund around six projects.

Projects can take place anytime during 2023. The deadline to apply is Friday 21 April.
