The Queen's Platinum Jubilee in Broxbourne

Street parties

  • Apply for a grant

As in 2012, the Council will offer small grants of up to £500 to residents/community groups to put on street parties to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Funding will be made available to organisations or groups rather than an individual. Recipients will be asked to provide basic monitoring and evaluation e.g. attendances, volunteer numbers. Any award of applications will be made retrospectively after the event, so residents will claim money back if successful.

The application deadline has now passed. Successful applicants will be contacted soon.

  • Criteria to apply

Before applying to the Platinum Jubilee Small Grants Scheme please note the following:

Certain eligibility criteria apply, including:

  • Grants are available up to £500
  • Events/activities must be related to the Platinum Jubilee
  • Events/activities must take place within the Borough of Broxbourne
  • All grants must be match-funded – this means that the Council will match any other sources of funding the event/activity may have
  • Grants are to be awarded to not for profit organisations, groups and collectives – not an individual or businesses. A group of residents can make an application together
  • The Council will not provide funding for refreshments.

Further to the above criteria, please note:

  • Please note that Hertfordshire County Council’s deadline for Jubilee road closure applications has passed. It is illegal to close a road for an event without a HCC permit.
  • To help the Council understand the scope of your group, please attach a copy of your group/organisation’s constitution to your application. If this is not possible then please attach a letter of support signed by your group members.

If you have any questions, please contact grants@broxbourne.gov.uk
