Sustainability has seen the rise and usage of new technologies and practices creating new job opportunities. These include low carbon roles, developing and installing renewable, energy saving and green technologies, managing sustainable practices and procurement, as well as managing trees and green spaces. It also includes environmental roles such as habitat management, and projects specific to boosting numbers of a species or species in general.

The Government has also announced that adults (19-years and older) that do not have an existing award higher than a Level 3 qualification may be eligible for a free green skills course. Further information can be found here.
