Borough Offices 

The Borough offices can be visited in person at:

Churchgate
Cheshunt
EN8 9XQ

Residents can speak to Officers, pay bills via the kiosk in reception, examine planning applications and more. 

You can telephone the Council's switchboard on 01992 785555. If you know the extension you require, you can enter it into the automated system, or hold to speak to an Officer.

Freedom of Information requests

To submit a request under the Freedom of Information Act, please email foi@broxbourne.gov.uk or write to: FOI Officer, Bishops' College, Churchgate, Cheshunt, Herts EN8 9XQ. 

Helpline

The Council's Helpline can be reached by telephoning 01992 785577 or emailing enquiries@broxbourne.gov.uk. It deals with a wide range of issues including:

  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Dog fouling
  • Elections and electoral registration
  • Fly-tipping
  • Parking on grass verges
  • Refuse and recycling, including advice on bulky collections

One Stop Shops

The Borough of Broxbourne provides a wide range of services. In order to make information about them as accessible as possible, residents can find a One Stop Shop in each of the town centres of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt, and Waltham Cross.

Trained and uniformed staff can provide information and advice or deal with any concerns over Council services as well as serving as the Borough's Tourist Information points where a range of brochures and travel information is available.

The opening hours for each shop are:

Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm (5pm at Cheshunt)                                                                                                                                          

Saturdays 9am - 1pm

Closed last Thursday of every month from 3.30pm for staff training            

The Waltham Cross One Stop Shop shares a premises with the Library. On a Monday and Thursday there is a supported self service for the library which means that the public can use the self service kiosk to:

  • Issue and return books, magazines for loan and CDs
  • Pay overdue charges
  • Renew items
  • Check the items that you have on loan

You can also browse and read library stock as well as use the photocopier. Other library services are not available as no library staff will be present.    

Cashier Services

Each of the one stop shops can accept debit card and credit card payments for council tax and any invoice received from the Council. 

B3 Living services

B3 Living residents can visit One Stop Shops to pay rent and service charges, report repairs, pick up leaflets and access a freephone for all housing services.
